Jain Katori Chaat:
Its a great snack for all age groups.Lovely taste and will change your mood completely.So now lets not waste time and start our preparation for katori chat.


Ingredients:

  • 2 large Raw Bananas
  • 4 table spoons warm curd
  • Green chutney
  • Sweet (khajur) and tamarind chutney
  • Chaat masala for sprinkling
  • Medium size or small size Sev as required.
  • small bowl of fresh finely chopped coriender.
  • 1 cup of kabuki Channa (Chole) soaked and boiled.
  • 1 tablespoon desi ghee.
  • 3 green chillies (finely chopped).
  • 1 medium sized tomato,finely chopped.
  • pinch of turmeric powder.
  • 1 tea spoon red chilli powder.
  • 1 tea spoon chole masala.
  • salt to taste.
  • 1 tea spoon lemon.
Recipe:
  • To make chole filling,heat desi ghee in a non stick pan,to that add green chillies and tomatoes,sauce them untill they turn soft.
  • Now add turmeric powder,red chilli powder,chole masala and mix everything well.Add chickpeas (kabuli chana or chole) and mix it with them.
  • Add salt and lemon juice and coriender leaves .cook everything for 5 minutes.Transfer everything into bowl.
  • Grate the raw bananas with the help of grater and soak it in water so the the colour of the raw bananas doesn't turn black and them for 5 minutes.after 5 minutes drain completely and spread on an absorbent kitchen towel to dry.
  • Take two small strainers,one of it should be slightly bigger than the other.
  • Heat oil for deep frying in a utensil,Layer the bigger strainer with one portion of grated bananas,place other strainer over the banana layer and  press lightly.Now slowly lower both the strainers together into the hot oil and deep fry till golden.Drain and place on all absorbent paper and keep aside.Similarly make rest of kachoris.
  • Now fill the chole in each of the fried kachori.add one table spoon of curd over them.For toppings add khajur and tamarind chutney and green chutney.Garnish it with sev and coriender leaves.
  • Your yummy katori chat is ready to serve....
